What CaptionPlus processes
After you explicitly press Start, the extension captures audio from the active YouTube tab and sends it directly to Deepgram for real-time transcription. It never requests microphone access.
- 02
What Knoveya receives
The Knoveya API receives an anonymous installation identifier, extension version, and network address for fair-use limits. It issues a short-lived transcription token. Final caption segments are sent through the API to Gemini for translation. Knoveya does not store the raw audio, source captions, or translations.
- 03
What stays on your device
Source and target language preferences are stored locally. Only the current caption and active session state are kept in Chrome session storage; CaptionPlus does not create transcript history.
- 04
Early Access details
If you submit the Early Access form, Knoveya stores your email and any optional name, role, or product request you provide. We use these details only to manage CaptionPlus access, share meaningful launch updates, and improve the product. This information is separate from caption processing and does not include tab audio or transcript data.
- 05
Landing page analytics
The CaptionPlus landing page uses Google Analytics when it loads to measure visits and predefined interactions such as scroll depth, demo video progress, calls to action, form outcomes, and checkout intent. Analytics events never include form values, captions, audio, extension identifiers, credentials, or payment details.
- 06
Third-party processing
Deepgram processes tab audio to produce live transcription. Google Gemini processes final caption text to produce the selected translation. Their handling is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.

Your control
Capture begins only after Start. Use Stop, close the YouTube tab, or navigate to a different video to end the session. You can remove all extension-held data by uninstalling CaptionPlus.
